MTL to Pay a Projected $17.3 million in Dividends to Policy Owners in 2010

MTL Insurance Company's Board of Directors has approved paying owners of participating MTL policies a projected total of $17.3 million in dividends in 2010. This is nearly equivalent to the amount paid to policy owners in 2009.

The 2010 dividend scale becomes effective February 1, as opposed to January 1, which was the practice in prior years. Thus, owners of participating MTL policies with anniversary dates on or after February 1, 2010, will receive dividends based on the 2010 dividend scale. MTL participating policies with anniversary dates of January 1 through January 31 will receive dividends based on the 2009 dividend scale.
